Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires (pop. 13 million) is Argentina’s capital, financial center and cultural hub. The city lives up to its name as the “Paris of South America” due to its European influenced architecture, food, dress and mentality. Buenos Aires is famous for Boca Juniors FC, Ernesto “Che” Guevara, the Obelisco, and the Tango.

XTS Rating: 9.5- Buenos Aires is one of the coolest cities in the world, hands down. The Porteno (resident of BsAs) loves football, lives by the night, believes any meal before 10pm is lunch and is also known to have Latin America’s most attractive men and women (or at least that’s what they tell you). Furthermore, the city is very cheap. One can indulge in the world’s best beef, excellent wine and various Italian dishes for only a few bucks. You can live like General Juan Peron himself as long as the inflation remains more or less under control.

The only thing keeping this amazing city from a perfect 10 is their unintelligible Spanish known as Lunfardo, the Porteno’s stereotypical pride and the chance of Maradona streaking through the streets if his country wins another world cup.
