XTS Rating: 1- It’s quite hard to get a 1 out of 10 on the XTS rating system, but Tegucigalpa has incredibly done so by being the worst place to visit on the planet. It’s unbelievably dangerous, corrupt, polluted and there’s not much to see even in the surrounding areas. There’s nothing good about Honduras’ largest city except for the fact that it’s cheap and the people are very friendly.
Honduras is a cool country with lots of Amerindian ruins and culture. There’re also some great beaches in the north. Tegucigalpa might be your only transit point getting there, so try to get in and out faster than the 2009 coup d’état.
