XTS Rating: 6.5- Seoul is a world class city and therefore quite expensive. Adding to this expense is getting to Seoul since overland entry into the isthmus nation is impossible (unless you’re a defect escaping the North). It’s also extremely westernized due to the cultural ties to America and an enormous US military base in the heart of town. So unless you want to party with GI Joe, stay away from the Yongsan-gu District.
There’s a few cool things around town, but by far the best is just enjoying Korean culture for what it’s worth. Go out and eat some Korean BBQ, drink soju (Korean vodka) and get down on the hot nightlife the metro area has to offer. But beware, Korean’s are known to have a high tolerance, so watch out if you get invited to participate in one of the many drinking games played throughout bars and clubs because they will put you under the table.
