Cartagena (pop. 1.2 million) is Colombia’s 5th largest city. The township is located on the northern coast and therefore has more Caribbean influence that the rest of the country’s major cities. Cartagena is well known for being a party hot spot and its colonial center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Bogota

Bogota (pop. 9.6 million) is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Colombia. The municipality is often referred to as the “Athens of South America” due to its high number of universities, libraries and educational institutions. Bogota’s topography is marked with Bolivar Square, towering sky scrapers, the Andes Mountains and a never ending maze of interweaving streets and alleys.
