Seoul  (pop. 24.5 million) is South Korea’s political, economic and cultural base. The city is located in the northwestern portion of the country (only 35 miles from the DMZ) and nearly half of the ROK’s population live in the greater Seoul/Incheon area. The country’s capital is outlined with an ultra-modern skyline characterized by the N Seoul Tower, Moonlight Rainbow Fountain and Samsung Tower Palace.
