Riots Break Out in Venezuelan Prison

Fighting between rival gang members at Venezuela’s El Rodeo II prison in Guatire (40km outside the capital Caracas) leaves 19 dead. Violence first broke out in the adjacent El Rodeo I on June 12th but ended five days later. However, an explosion of mayhem soon erupted in El Rodeo II, making it one of the deadliest prison riots in Venezuelan history.
